Hi Friend,
I hope everything’s going well on your end! This week has been a mixed bag of work and life wins—so overall, a win in my books!
This newsletter ended up being all about social media and how AMAZING it can be for Aged Care providers to embrace. If you’ve got a moment to hear me out, I think you’ll find a whole lot of value in it.
3 Aged Care Marketing Tips
1. Social media growth takes time, but once it’s a well-oiled machine, it works like magic.
Including social media in your marketing mix as an aged care provider can truly transform your business into a recognisable brand, especially in a world where most people rely on the internet for their research.
If your business showcases clients, empowers employees, and shares success stories in a fun and engaging way, you’ll undoubtedly have an advantage.
One of our clients at Home Instead frequently hears from friends, community members, clients, and caregivers about how much they love what she’s doing with her social media—and she loves it too!
Why? Because she doesn’t have to do much but still reaps the rewards.
She trusts us to take creative control, simply providing us with photos and information occasionally, and the partnership has been fantastic!
In the beginning, we were finding our feet, but after a year of consistently showing up five times a week, we’re now achieving the results we were aiming for.

2. How to go viral on an Instagram reel
Reels aren’t going away, but the way we post them has changed. The old approach just isn’t working anymore—the algorithm isn’t pushing them like it used to.
Here’s what I’ve learned:
Value-Packed Captions
Captions matter more than ever. To keep your audience engaged, you need to provide real value. I use the V.A.L.U.E. method:
V - Vulnerability
A - Actionable steps/authority
L - Lessons to learn
U - Unique branding
E - Engaging and educational content
Quality Over Quantity
I used to think posting multiple times a day would boost growth, but now it’s all about quality. One solid reel is better than three that fall flat. I’m focusing on posting at least one high-quality reel daily.
Be Concise
I’m keeping my captions and hooks short and direct, speaking to my audience like I’m talking to a friend. It’s no longer about stressing over hashtags or aesthetics—it’s about creating content that truly connects.

3. Show Your Business’s Personality Online
Just because your business is in aged care doesn’t mean it can’t be fun or even romanticised
.
• If gyms can inspire you to work out,
• If a clothing brand can make a plain white T-shirt exciting,
• If cafés can romanticise a $7.00 coffee,
Then we can certainly make aged care inspiring, fun, and captivating.
SOMETHING I HAVE LEARNT THIS WEEK
If you live or work near Fawkner Park in Melbourne, there’s a hidden gem you need to know about—a sensational café located at the tennis club that many people seem to overlook.
I’m genuinely convinced it’s one of the best cafés in Melbourne, and here’s why:
• You can sit down with a coffee and watch the tennis players training, puppies running around, or simply enjoy some casual people-watching. Or, if you’re on the go, grab a takeaway and continue your walk.
• The prices are reasonable and not over the top.
• It’s a bit of a secret spot, so you’ll almost always get your coffee within 3-5 minutes.
• The café offers a 180-degree view of the park, making it the perfect spot to park your laptop and get some work done, all while being surrounded by nature.
If you find yourself in this neck of the woods and fancy a coffee, give me a call or reply to this email! I’d love to meet some of the people I’m sending words to every week.
Anyway, that's all from me this week.
Appreciate you always,
Olivia
PS My sister is in labour as we speak so hopefully not too much longer until I’m an aunty!
PPS this email was made with love, not AI. <3
